What to Include in a Custom Label Quote Request
A useful custom label quote starts with a description of the job, not just a request for a price per thousand. The more clearly you explain the package and workflow, the easier it is to discuss appropriate options.
If you are unsure what to include in a custom label quote request, focus on the details that affect fit, appearance, and application.
Describe the package before the finish
Provide the container material, its shape, and the usable labeling area. Include a photograph or sample when practical. Explain whether labels are applied to dry packages, chilled containers, textured boxes, or another specific surface.
Describe what happens after application. Refrigeration, moisture, rubbing, outdoor exposure, and frequent handling are different demands. Avoid relying on broad words such as “durable” without explaining the conditions behind them.
Make the quantity and artwork clear
State the proposed label dimensions and quantity for each design. If one order has three versions, identify them separately. Share the artwork files you have and explain whether you need help preparing a printable layout.
For rolls, include your dispenser or applicator model and any known requirements for core size, unwind direction, and roll diameter. If you do not know those details, say so rather than copying specifications from a previous unrelated job.
Give your desired delivery window and shipping destination, but treat timing as a request until it is confirmed. Also mention whether this is a one-time event, a launch, or an ongoing replenishment order. That context can shape the conversation about quantities.
You do not need to know every technical answer before making contact. Clear unknowns are easier to resolve than confident guesses.
Use American Price Mark’s free quote form to start the conversation. Include your contact information and the project details you already know, then confirm the final specifications before approving production.
